Savannah Is 20 Months Old-October 18

Savannah has been a busy, active and happy little girl these past few weeks! She has been relieved of most her teething pains for the time being!! She now only has 2 canines, and all of her 2 year molars left, and the one canine is almost through! I am so thrilled that she is on the home stretch with teething, in my opinion the worst is over...at least i hope so. Also, the teething necklace is still helping with the discomfort! Poor baby was cutting 5 teeth at once, and 5 of the worst ones! So thankful that time in our lives has passed!!!!

Savannah, you are obsessed with this Ballet movie! Daddy is trying to help you dance with it! You walk around singing "bella, bella" it's the first time that you are hooked to a movie! I find it quite funny how much you love this movie. It was a great buy, I think it was $2.50 at a local resale shop! It has made a lot of car rides much more enjoyable, then you cry if we don't bring it inside so that you can dance with it! Melts my heart!

You weigh in right around 22 pounds.

You are just entering into all 18 month clothes, and size 4 diapers.

I have found Huggies work much better at night, than Pampers! What have you all found works best? If she wears Pampers Crusiers for night time she always leaks out by morning. So I am currently using Huggies at night and Pampers by day.

Your eating has improved since your latest teeth came through. You are still not a great eater, but much better than before. You love vegetable soup, apples, strawberries, blueberries, yogurt, french fries, mac n cheese, grilled cheese, graham crackers with milk, chocolate milk, apple juice, pancakes, cream of wheat and much much more!

You hate having anything stuck to your hands or feet, as you can see below!

This month you have started saying TONS of words and you are trying so hard to communicate with us! You will reply to us in your own little sentences, and it is so adorable! I am looking forward to the next few weeks, as you progress in this area!

Below you are trying to do the Peace sign!

I could write about you all day Savannah, you are the light of our life, our greatest gift, our beautiful daughter!

Momma and Daddy love everything about you, sweet girl!

Fall Is My Favorite

We finally have a Saturday to do with as we please!

We started the day with a Breakfast Buffet at a local Amish Restaurant, it's by far our favorite Breakfast place!! It was so nice to have a treat like that! Then we went to an indoor flea market to see my Mother in Law at work , where I wanted to buy so much stuff! They had so many nice decorations for Fall! My Fall decor has slowly faded away to nothing anymore!

We then headed for home, and took in the amazing scenery this time of year brings. I was in awe of how Blessed I felt to spend such a wonderful morning with my little family that I love so much.

Big Project off my To Do list!

First off thank you all for your sweet comments on my last post! If you are thinking of losing weight, just know that if I can do it you can too! I hate diets! Weight Watcher's works!!

Now onto what I have been busy with for a long time! Mostly I just kept procrastinating! Once I actually started working on painting my dining room table and chairs it didn't take long at all! Boy, Oh Boy am I ever glad I did! I am in love with the outcome!

As you can see in the picture below we tore out our awful carpet and put in laminate floors! More on that later...but doesn't it look so much better!!!?

I am currently working on our last project...painting our China Cabinet black! I am hoping to have that done this weekend...but I'm not counting on it! Procrastinator...that's me!

Happier, Healthier Me

In my last post I mentioned that I had reached a huge goal in my life. In the last 3.5 months I have lost 21 lbs on Weight Watchers. Even as I type that out I still cannot seem to believe it. My wonderful Hubby lost 25 lbs right along with me. So now I can say I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant with Savannah over 2 years ago. Never in my life have I ever lost that much weight on a diet! I always thought diets don't work, and that I need to exercise every waking minute. I was so wrong. Shhh...can you keep a secret? I didn't exercise one time on Weight Watchers! Yes the company would highly recommend that I do, but chasing after a 19 month old monkey (Savannah. For anyone that doesn't know she climbs onto everything) wears me out. I had no desire to exercise, so when I kept losing weight each and every week just by eating right and following there points system, I thought "no way am I exercising just yet since I am seeing major results"! Now that's my kind of weight loss!!!!

Weight Watcher's does not feel like a diet to me, it is doable, unlike any other diet I have ever tried.

I did post a before and after photo below, and totally forgot to mark which one was from before and which one was the after. Then I started thinking, I sure hope people can tell which one is the after shot!! For me the weight came off so gradually that I didn't see a drastic change until I compare the sizes I've dropped and when I don't look down and see 3 big tummy rolls anymore!! No joke, it was bad!

My weight started to escalate this Spring. I was eating anything and everything I laid eyes on, I had/have female issues, and the pounds just packed on. Literally like 10 pounds in 2 months, I was at the point that my clothes were too tight to wear, and I had like two pairs of jeans to wear. I was either going to have to buy new clothes in bigger sizes, OR lose weight. Towards the end of June I made the leap, I joined Weight Watchers online. My life has never been the same since.

I am happier and healthier than I can ever remember. Every day I don't think about how uncomfortable I am, or how this outfit makes me look huge, which then made me want to eat more since I was feeling down. I always thought that with my female issues it is next to impossible to lose weight, but I was wrong, I had never tried Weight Watcher's. It is definitely not impossible. I kept telling myself I have one life, and I want to enjoy it. I don't always want to be telling myself that I need to lose weight, so finally I made up my mind to lose weight, and it worked.

The picture below shows how happy losing weight has made our family!! I am a better Momma, and hubby is a better Daddy due to us feeling better since we have lost weight! We are still going strong, hoping to lose another 10 pounds by Christmas!

Well, my little one is waking up for the day! Please let me know if you have any questions about Weight Watcher's or how it works. I would be happy to address any questions I receive in another post!

I was not in a any way paid for this post about Weight Watchers.

Amber Teething Necklace

First off I must show you a picture of Savannah's "biggest smile!" I zoomed way in so you can see how stinkin' cute it is! She now flashes me her 'biggest smile" when I bring out the camera! When did my baby get so grown up.?!!!

Our Amber teething necklace finally arrived on Saturday, and we put it on Savannah right away. Unbelievable. That's the first word that comes to mind. Within 2 hours she stopped chewing on her fingers or paci, and now almost a week later she still hasn't chewed on her fingers or paci at all. Folks let me tell you this was an all day thing. You could just tell she was miserable.

Now onto the next shocker! No pain medicine since the necklace!! We had been giving her medicine to ease the pain of and on for almost 2 weeks. It was bad.

Within two days her runny nose cleared up. I was so glad, since she had a runny nose for almost a month. And it just disappeared in what seemed like a day.

No teething fever since the necklace! I leave it on for naps, but take it off at night. She does sleep better at night, but she has gotten up around 5 once in the last week, but she went back to sleep after she got her bottle. (yes she still gets a bottle for sleepy, and I'm totally not worried about it) So I can tell that she needs the necklace! I just don't feel safe wearing it on her at night.

It is just so amazing to me. I know that she is still teething because her last molar is still not all the way through, and her top two canines are almost poking through.

These are just a few of the major things that I have noticed since the necklace. I was not paid in any way to talk about this necklace. I ended up purchasing it on Amazon and paid like $35, that was with extra shipping.  It was worth every penny. If you have a teething baby, and need relief, try the Amber teething necklace now!! It may or may not work as well for your baby as it did for Savannah, but give it a try and see!

Much happier Savannah and Momma!!!!

I have so much to blog about, and I hope I can catch up soon. We are still getting our house put back together, I will hopefully finish our last painting projects this weekend. I also have reached a HUGE goal in my life! Posts on that coming soon! ;)

I am Blessed

I love to compare pictures of Savannah. I thought it was so neat that in the above picture her hands, mouth and the way she holds her upper body are exactly alike! I think she looks like a different person! Her hair is lighter, her face has thinned out a lot and she looks like a toddler now!! What a difference a year makes!

I am so Blessed. I feel very humbled by what the Lord has given to me.

 Pregnancy.

Healthy Baby.

Loving Hubby(and he's a Wonderful Daddy).

And lots more.

When I look back at pictures of Savannah and my pregnancy it really helps me see all the Blessings I do have. I should never complain about anything again...ever!!
