Last week, I finally had some time to do things on my to-do list!! I was so excited by the time the week was over, I felt like I got so much done. Usually on my days off I have appointments or babysitting, it seems like there is always something in the way of me being at home getting lots of things done. First of all I did my laundry and ironing for the week, then I started my cleaning. I cleaned my whole house, most weeks I will do a quick cleaning, if I get to it at all! But last week I did a thorough cleaning, and I also rearranged our living room, and organized things here and there that needed tending too. I even managed to make a dessert for us! I was loving every minute of it. It's days like this, that make it hard to wait on my dream of being a stay at home mommy. Below I have some pictures of my home.

This is our breakfast area, in our kitchen, that goes out to the back deck. I love our little table. My mom-n-law found it at our local thrift store for $5!!! It fits perfectly in our kitchen. I am a big fan of place mats. I found these at a garage sale, the chair cushions I also found at a garage sale. My chairs were given to us by my mom-n-law. The fall centerpiece is just plastic leaves, twigs and a vase, I think I found all of those things at Pat Catan's. So there is where have my cereal every morning wishing I was still in bed!!
Above is our serving table in our Dining Room. We found the serving table and our china cabinet (not pictured) at a thrift store for a steal! I was so happy when we found the set.

Above is our Dining Room table, with place mats, of course! I found those last year at Wal-Mart after Thanksgiving for $1 each, I grabbed those so fast. They have a leaf design. I usually have a candle burning in the candle holder but I am out of candles right now. So I just threw some pine cones in the candle holder for now. Hopefully I can find a great smelling candle this week! I would love to hear of any fall favorites.

Now for the Living room. This is where we spend a lot of our time.

I usually sit in the brown rocker and my hubby sits in the recliner. I bought that recliner for my hubby a long time ago for Valentine's Day. Our living room is small, I had to take out our 2 end tables because they just do not fit, and I would rather have my rocker in the living room than one of the end tables. My hubby picked out the paint color in here. I was really impressed with the way it turned out. I really like primitive decorations, and a warm, cozy home. So the color really helped with the warm feel to the living room. Way to go Honey!

As you can see above, the picture above our couch is off center. When we moved in I had our couch moved over to the left so the picture was right in the middle, but since then I have moved things around and now it's not in the center anymore. The thing is, we have plaster walls, and it is not easy to move a picture. Whenever you hang something, the wall chips a lot around where you put the nail in. So I thought I will just leave it where it is rather than go through all that trouble to touch up the wall after I move the picture. What do you think? Does it look terrible being off center or do you think that it looks ok as is? My aunt found me the window valence at a thrift store. It turned out great.

I don't think I have ever shown any pictures of our Wedding, so I decided to zoom in on this picture we have in our living room. It gives you a little bit of an idea what our day was like. Sometime I will try to get more wedding photos posted. Sorry about the flash.

I hope you enjoyed the small tour of our home. We are so thankful for it!
