Savannah's 1st Christmas

We spent the majority of Christmas Day with my Hubby's family. We always have a great Breakfast, and since this year we had Church in the morning we had Breakfast for Lunch. We did not go to Church due to my Hubby just not feeling up to it. After our delicious meal, it was time for gifts! Savannah is already finding one of her gifts to climb!

Savannah was such a happy girl, but she did not nap! She was so tired, but still happy!

Hubby was not feeling well at all the whole day, I felt so horrible for him. So at about 4pm we left for home, and of course Little Miss was zonked out when we got home! I even got her out of her car seat and laid her in bed with hubby, she didn't even think about waking up! That is so unlike her, which tells me she had an exhausting weekend!!

Santa's Little Helper is worn out!! :)

I didn't want her to sleep too long because I knew if she did it would totally mess up her bedtime!! So she slept for about 45 minutes, and then she was up and playing with all her new toys!!! She just loves all her new toys, really she does, even if her toy of choice is the VCR remote!!! Really!! :)

This picture if my favorite one from all of the pictures from the weekend!!! She just looks like a little Christmas ballerina!! ADORE HER!!

We had a great Christmas weekend, and we just felt so Blessed to have a happy, healthy baby girl! She made this Christmas very special!!

Savannah's 1st Christmas Eve

I was so anxious for Christmas this year! For so many years I would dream of the day that I would have a child of my own to celebrate this special Holiday with. I had so many expectations as to how special this child would make the Holidays, really how the child would just make every day so much more special. I will say this year I have been blown away as to how much joy our little one has brought to us. She is the light of our lives and gave us so much to be thankful for this Holiday season.

As I was thinking those thoughts so many times throughout the past year, once Christmas came I was so humbled by the thought of Celebrating Jesus' Birthday. I want to teach Savannah at a young age what the REAL meaning of Christmas is, and how blessed we are that Jesus is our Hope and our Saviour!

Savannah really was just a total doll baby throughout the Holidays. She did miss a few naps that kind of messed up her routine, but she was a trooper. We celebrated Christmas Eve with my family. We usually go out to an early Dinner and then go back to my parents house to celebrate. Before Savannah we would stay the night at there house, but we chose not to this year. We will probably start that again once Savannah is a little older.

By Christmas this year Savannah was just over 10 months old. She has her two bottom teeth and has been teething horribly. She also says Mama all the time, and Dada sometimes.

It was so much better to give than to receive, especially to our sweet little girl!! I must say the cutest gift we purchased for her are the adorable fur boots she is wearing! They are so stinkin' cute!! Those boots with leggings are one reason I can handle the cold weather!!

A little over a week before Christmas my hubby had his 2nd knee surgery since November. He had his patellae tendon repaired on both knees. Well the last surgery went well, but he developed a blood clot in his calf, so he was admitted into the Hospital on Monday before Christmas. I was so thankful that he was ok, but at the same time I started freaking out because before I knew it he was still in the Hospital the day before Christmas Eve!!! Thankfully he was released on Christmas Eve.

It was sad not having him home at all the week of Christmas, but it all worked out and I was so happy he made it home for Christmas. He was having pain, so that made him not be able to enjoy all the festivities quite as much. I am actually thankful that it was Savannah's 1st Christmas that this happened, because she really didn't have a clue as to what was going on...

...although she was having the time of her life climbing onto all the boxes that come along with the Holidays!! See below...

...yes she managed to get that box over there all by herself! We have realized her favorite things to do are pushing boxes and climbing on boxes!

She did so well with opening her gifts on Christmas Eve, here is her 1st present that Daddy helped her open. It was too cute because everyone was helping Savannah open her 1st present. All her little cousins were sitting all around her with the biggest smiles, it was so precious and heartwarming to see the love they have for her!!

Doing her favorite thing ever....
...climbing!!

She also got the baby Einsteins activity center that she just LOVES!!

Thank you Lord for blessing us with a wonderful 1st Christmas with our Little Blessing!!!

Santa Baby

Savannah doesn't look like a "Santa Baby" this year!! I prefer her to be "Momma's baby" anyways! So it all worked out!! :)

She sure is My Precious Gift!

I hope everyone had a Blessed Christmas!!

Savannah's Very First Christmas Ornament

The other day I was at a craft show, and they had a booth that hand painted ornaments. I was sold as soon as I saw this pink ornament!! I was able to tell them what I wanted and she had it ready for me in a half hour!! I was so super excited to check it out! Lets say I was very impressed with the lady's talent!!

I never realized how difficult it is to get a good, clear picture of an ornament! Here are some of the clearest shots I could get. These pictures do not even come close as to picturing how nice it turned out! I wanted a Zebra print themed ornament with her first and middle name on the front, as well as a baby snowman.

The baby snowman has a Zebra print scarf, and ear muffs on!! How Presh!

Below you can see her name better.

Then on the back I wanted it to say Christmas 2010!

I was so excited to show hubby!! He thought it was pretty cool!! It is now hanging on our tree with care!!

I cannot wait to get out her precious ornament next year when she is here with us!

Our Little Blessing at 27 Weeks!!!!

Monday, December 6, 2010
Our Little Blessing at 27 Weeks! Last week in my 2nd Trimester!!! Unbelievable!!!

How far along? 27 Weeks

Baby's size and stats? This week, our baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, our baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle. This information taken from Pregnancy.com

Gain? I still don't want to know! But I will need to get on the scale at the Dr.'s very soon. I feel like I gained so much!

Maternity clothes? I adore maternity dresses they are so comfy and so cute. I only have like two that I really like. I mostly wear my black pants to work, I need to find about one or two more pants, and about two more sweaters. Hopefully this week I will be able to shop a little, I really appreciate all your advice on where to shop!! I want to try Target and The Goodwill.

Stretch marks? I have not noticed any new ones since pregnancy. I've been lathering on my usual lotion. I have been thinking I should have bought some stretch mark lotion, like the Palmer's lotion. I just use Johnson's Stress Relief, and I love it but I am not sure how how good that it handles stretch marks!

Sleep? Sleep is still good, except for my left side going numb after laying on it for a while.

Foods I am loving? Milk and a lot of my usual food likes.

Foods I am hating? Plain Chicken, turkey.

Best moment this week? Getting Savannah her very first Christmas Ornament! Post coming on that soon!

Movement? When I read that baby stats for this week, I realized that I felt Savannah have hiccups a few days! I guess I always thought they would last a lot longer. It felt like a bunch of popping, really quickly, so precious!! She has been kicking more consistently, but they are still not as hard as before which makes me still believe that she has repositioned herself. Another reason I believe that is because she kicks or punches my bladder so often. It is the weirdest, most uncomfortable feeling I have ever felt. Most of the hard movements are against my bladder. I am really curious as to what position she is in, I am hoping that my Dr. can give me an idea. So overall, movement has been good this week.

Symptoms? Still feeling a little faint/nauseated in the mornings. I really appreciate your comments on that. One beautiful lady said that she read it is normal at this point in pregnancy to feel that way. That made me feel so much better, and it makes total sense to me. Recently I have felt like I cannot breath after I eat dinner, it gets bad. I feel like my insides are so scrunched. I think Savannah is getting bigger. I am wondering how my belly will be able to stretch more, it feels so stretched, especially after I eat too much.

Gender? A GIRL...Our Sweet Savannah

What I'm looking forward to? Dr. Appointment this week.

Milestones: Last week in my 2rd Trimester!!! WOW!!

Weekly Pics!

Today I feel so blessed that I am carrying such a precious little miracle!!

Christmas Eve Celebration

We always celebrate Christmas Eve with my family. We usually go out to an early dinner then go to my parent's house for presents, games and lots of fun.

This year we went to Wasabe Japanese Steakhouse. It was so delicious. If you have never been to one, they cook your meal right in front of you. I split the Shrimp and Chicken with my sister, and it was super good!! The only bad thing was that we had a group of about 15 and with there seating it was hard to have a conversation with everyone. Overall it was a great time.

Below are a few pictures of us after dinner at my parent's house.

Sweet little Hummer!

Below is a picture of my nephew with the cutest hat on earth on his head. I won that hat from a giveaway from Alexis at Where He leads me I will follow, she made that hat fit him perfectly by only me telling her his age and his clothing size. When I gave him his hat it fit PERFECTLY, and he looked absolutely adorable in it. Wouldn't you agree?

So if you want to grab one of these adorable hats for yourself or for someone you love, hop on over to Alexis' Etsy Store. I am also going to add the button for her store on my sidebar. Thank you Alexis!
As Christmas came and went, my heart was breaking for children all over the world that might not have had a nice meal, a warm home, someone to love them, presents, or even hope for the future. I really hope and pray that the Lord can use me to help even one hurting child in my lifetime. I feel so unworthy of all that I have been blessed with this Christmas, and every day of my life. I am hoping 2010 will bring lots of joy, and lots of self sacrificing acts on my behalf. I know that I have lacked that in 2009. I hope you all had a very Blessed Christmas!

COACH EST. 1941...

...you make me so happy.

It came in the gorgeous brown protector.

My hubby surprised me with this fabulous COACH bag for Christmas! It is even more gorgeous in person. I was thrilled. He also got me a GAP gift card. Which is my favorite place to be!!

Did you get something fabulous this year?

Christmas Cookie Cut-Outs

Yesterday we made Christmas Cookies at my sisters house. We had such a fun day. This is one of my favorite traditions throughout the Christmas Season. Sadly, this year my Mom could not be there to make them with us, but she did say they were delicious!

Can you believe how cute this little guy is!!

Can you say, Diva!!

My little nephew really enjoyed making cut-outs, and you will see his decorating skills later!

Ready for the oven! My sister made the cookie dough from scratch, we tried a different recipe this year. They turned out so amazing!!

Here is where the cookies went as soon as they got out of the oven.

Now it's time for frosting and decorating. This was really the fun part. First of all, my sister dumped all of the little silver decorative balls all over the kitchen. It was so funny, all you saw was tiny little balls bouncing all over the floor. She attempted to pick them up, until she gave up. Lets just say we had a dirty floor after we were done.

While my sister was still on the floor trying to pick up a little of the mess, my niece accidentally dumps all of the green sanding sugar on poor Mr. Snowman. By then we were all laughing hysterically. She thought she had the side of the container open that just sprinkles it out, but instead it was the other side that is wide open. It was great! We gave that one to my nephew, he loves sprinkles. The first thing he did was stick his finger in it!

Here he is decorating his own cookies. Can you see he had an audience. He was so adorable while he was decorating (as always).

Yum, Yum! Those look delicious! Wink. Wink. His decorating was priceless.

Here is the finished product. It seemed like we were frosting and decorating for hours! It took us from 10am-4pm. We did help my sister clean up the mess that was left in her house! You should have heard the sweeper when I was in the kitchen, we most definitely made a mess, but it was worth it! I will remember this day forever. It is such a blessing to me to be able to spend a day like this with the people that I love most!

The cookies are so delicious. Speaking of which, I think I might go eat one!!

5 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!
