Our Little Blessing at 8 Weeks!

Monday, July 26
Our Little Blessing at 8 weeks!

How far along? 8 Weeks

Baby's size? Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet

Weight Gain? I have lost a pound from my pre pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes? No more new maternity clothes. I have not started wearing any yet, but I am planning on getting a pair of maternity Capri's for work. My jeans are just a little too snug around the waist.

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? I sleep really good. I wake up occasionally to use the restroom, and I have woken up with nausea once. My days off are usually recover days, so I sleep for like 13 hours! Then I can even take a nap. On days I work, I come straight home and sleep!

Foods I am loving? Ravioli, oatmeal and chicken noodle soup are really the only meals that I do not throw up on. I am so hungry for food, but as soon as I eat a lot I will throw it up. It helps a little if I just eat a very small amount and frequently.

Foods I am hating? Nuts, fried foods, chicken!

Best moment this week? Still feeling pregnant!!

Movement? No movement yet. I cannot wait for the movement to start!

Symptoms? Nausea the whole day and very tired. I would say I am feeling the worst yet. I have started not being able to keep food down, which results in me feeling weak. The hardest part is having to go to work when I feel so bad.

Gender? I have no idea as of right now! We will be finding out though!

What I'm looking forward to? Hopefully feeling better soon.

Weekly Wisdom: Take one day at a time.

Milestones: Being 2 months pregnant!

Emotions:I have not really had any emotions, except for thinking of how bad I feel.

Here is our 8 week belly picture!

Any tips on how to help the nausea and vomiting would be greatly appreciated.

Caffeine?

I had a quick question for you ladies! My Doctor said it is OK to drink 3 servings of caffeine a day. I was really happy to hear that, because I have been missing my half cup of coffee on the mornings that I work. I do trust my Doctor, and when I drink caffeine, I don't even drink a full cup. So what do you think about this? Did you drink any caffeine during pregnancy? I would love to hear what you think!!

Have a lovely Friday my blogging friends!!

By the way, I have been taking a natural supplement for stomach and digestion when I eat a meal, and it is helping a little with my nausea!! I was thrilled. Let's hope it keeps working!!

Our first OB Appointment!!

I wanted to give you all a quick update on our OB appointment yesterday!! It went so great! We saw one very strong heartbeat. It was one of the best little flicker that we have ever seen. We were so thrilled to have our pregnancy confirmed with a heartbeat! There was only one, which we were happy with! We would have been happy with anything, but one just seems so much more manageable!! My hubby cracked me up, as soon as the Dr. left the room he said "Now we only have one chance of having a boy." He is one of 4 boys, so he is a little biased!! I will bet you anything a little girl would totally win him over though!! So now I go back in 4 weeks, hopefully we can see our little Blessing again!!

I hope you are all doing well, I have been trying to stay caught up on my blog reading. With the way I have been feeling lately, I am not on the computer much lately. I probably won't be blogging to much, until I start feeling better.

Today I feel so blessed to have seen our little Blessing!!

Our Little Blessing at 7 Weeks!!

Monday, July 19
Our Little Blessing at 7 weeks!

How far along? 7 Weeks

Baby's size? This week our little Blessings hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs!!

Weight Gain? I had gained 3 pounds, then I went back down to where I was. I have not weighed myself in a few days, I am sure I have gained a few!

Maternity clothes? No more new maternity clothes. I have not started wearing any yet, I have been living in my yoga pants!!

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? Well, this changed since my 6 week update. I started to not sleep good at all! I constantly just need to turn from side to side, like I am really fidgety. I feel the constant urge to stretch, then my stomach stretches and it feels good. I thought this was kinda weird, it was a definite change for me. Did this ever happen to you?

Foods I am loving? Pretzels make me feel a lot better when I am feeling nauseated. I can eat pretty much anything...once, then I get so nauseated that I never want to see, smell or taste that food item again!! That has happened with every meal this last week, pretty soon I will be out of food to eat!! Milk has been something I really like, and it makes me feel a little better sometimes.

Foods I am hating? Nuts, fried foods, chicken (I could so gag right now)!

Best moment this week? Really feeling pregnant!! I totally know now that our little Blessing is in there!!

Movement? No movement yet. I cannot wait for the movement to start!

Symptoms? Nausea the whole day, occasional cramping, very tired.

Gender? I have no idea as of right now! We will be finding out though!

What I miss? NOTHING!!!

What I'm looking forward to? Seeing our little Blessing tomorrow!!!!!!

Weekly Wisdom: Sleep when you can, and make so you have food in the house that makes you feel good!

Milestones: We are 7 weeks pregnant, and after 4 years of waiting I have finally experienced morning sickness (actually all day sickness would be a better word for it)!

Emotions: I have been feeling so blessed this week, and my heart has really been hurting for those still longing for a child. No matter what your situation, or what you are going through please know that people are praying for you!!

Here is our 7 week belly picture!

I think the belly pretty much looks the same to me, it feels like it is growing and tightening up a little. I cannot suck it in at all!! One thing that does look different is how tired my face looks, I couldn't believe the difference from last week!!

Today I feel so blessed to have been blessed with a pregnancy!!!

Our Little Blessing at 6 Weeks!!!

I will try to do all of my weekly updates on Monday's, since that is the start of a new week of pregnancy for us!!

Monday, July 12
Our Little Blessing at 6 weeks!

How far along? 6 Weeks

Baby's size? Our Blessing will have a growth spurt this week. It could go from the size of a lentil all the way to the size of a chickpea!!!!

Weight Gain? I gained 3 pounds already...I have not been watching what I eat. I need to start!!

Maternity clothes? My new sister in law took me to a garage sale that had lots of maternity clothes. I was able to find a lot of cute shirts, and a winter coat from Gap!! I was so excited!

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? I sleep great! I could sleep all the time. I am exhausted.

Foods I am loving? Basically all foods! :) I have been really hungry. I have not been craving anything in particular.

Foods I am hating? Fried foods have kind of made me feel nauseated. But other than that nothing has bothered me so far.

Best moment this week? Finding out we were pregnant!!!!!!
Movement? No movement yet. I cannot wait for the movement to start!

Symptoms? I have had an empty stomach/nausea feeling for over a week now. I also have been exhausted! Like so tired, I cannot function. I have never felt so tired before in my life. I have taken a nap the last two days, and I never do that. I had a very busy week so I think that contributed to the exhaustion!

Gender? I have no idea as of right now! We will be finding out though!

What I miss? NOTHING!!!

What I'm looking forward to? Our first ultrasound in about a week, and then we will be able to see how many heartbeats there are!!!

Weekly Wisdom: Keep something close to snack on, once that feeling comes that you need to fill your stomach there is no waiting!!

Milestones: We are 6 weeks pregnant!

Emotions: I have been so overjoyed, thankful and totally in awe of our answered prayer.

Here is our first belly picture!! I know it is early, but I want to see the progression from the beginning!! I will probably try to wear the same outfit for as long as I can. I like the way you can really see my belly in this outfit.

I know I already look like I am showing, but nothing has really changed. I have always had a little bit of a lower belly pooch. I had just eaten before hubby took this picture, so I was really full!! I have noticed that I cannot really suck in my tummy like I used to. My belly has been having cramping when I stretch, I read that my ligaments will be stretching to prepare for the growing baby. I have been having slight cramping every once in a while, and I pee a lot! I had even noticed some of these symptoms before I got a positive pregnancy test, I should have caught on.

I got the layout for my weekly posts at Ashley's blog. I hope she doesn't mind that I followed her layout!! I might add or take away a few things as the pregnancy progresses.

Today I feel so blessed that I have not been having horrible morning sickness, and that we are 6 weeks pregnant!!1

Thank You and 5 Years!

I want to thank you all for your kind congratulations on our pregnancy. We feel so blessed and very thankful! I know that hearing of a pregnancy is always hard when you are going through infertility, so I really appreciate all of your comments! Our God is an awesome God! !

Yesterday was our 5 year anniversary! We did not do anything special for our anniversary, but I think we both didn't even want too. We are still so thrilled about our pregnancy, that we we content with just being at home! We have been through so much in the 5 years that we were married. It wasn't always easy, especially with infertility in our marriage. I am so thankful that my wonderful hubby stuck with me through thick and thin!!

I would love to lift anyone up in prayer who is still waiting on there little blessing!!

Our Little Blessing

We saw 2 of these negative test results last week...

AND 2 OF THESE POSITIVE PREGNANCY TESTS!

We feel so blessed! Our little Blessing will arrive on March 7, 2011.

We have had a very exciting few days! I will let you know how it all happened!

Last week was the week that we could test to see if the 200MG of Clomid worked for us. So we tested twice and they were both negative. So I called my Dr. on Friday and they said that I should call them back on Tuesday of this week then we will start another month of Clomid. They also wanted me to take another pregnancy test before I called again, the nurse said that sometimes your body can play tricks on you.

So we went ahead with our wonderful July 4th weekend, we spent most of the weekend at hubby's aunt's house. We had way too much fun!! I noticed that my stomach felt empty a lot, but I would always just drink some milk or water and it would feel better.

We got home on Monday, then I had to work in the evening. So hubby picked up a pregnancy test, because I knew we still had to take one before I call the Dr. on Tuesday. It was late before hubby got home, so I just waited to take the test till the morning. I woke up pretty early and thought I would take the test. I never look at them anymore, hubby always checks the tests. So I laid it down, and he checked it in a few minutes. I laid back down. He was really quite, and looked at the test for a long time, then finally said "Lori, I think your are pregnant!" I could here in his voice that he was totally serious, plus he would know not to joke about that!! I will never be able to explain that feeling that I had at that moment. It felt like a dream. A fairytale. I looked at the test, and sure enough, for the first time in my life I saw a positive! I AM PREGNANT! After almost 4 years of infertility we have finally beat it!

We spent the whole day telling our family's! It was so soon, but we could not keep the excitement to ourselves! I went in for blood work to confirm the pregnancy, and I got the most wonderful call yesterday. My nurse told me "Yes Lori, you are Pregnant!" They confirmed it with a Beta of 629! I would love to hear what your Beta's were! We are over the moon with joy!
We had our OB consultation this morning and they confirmed my due date at March 7, 2011, and she reminded me of the high chance of multiples with clomid. She said I am 5 weeks and 3 days along!

We scheduled our first real appointment on July 20, we will have an ultrasound done, then we will find out how many little blessings are in there. As for side affects, they have been getting worse as the days go by. My stomach continues to feel empty/nauseous, and I am tired to the point that I could slur my words! I am exhausted, and at the same time overflowing with thankfulness, and joy.

Hubby's brother is getting ready to catch our little Blessing!! HA!! This picture just cracks me up!

I know that many of you are still on the infertility journey, and my heart breaks for you more than you will ever know. One thing I do know, is that whenever I heard of someone who got pregnant after going through infertility it always gave me hope, but yet at the same time a small part of me felt like it just might never happen to me. So take it from me, never underestimate the power of Prayer!!

Today I feel blessed that we have a little blessing growing inside of me right now!! Praise the Lord!

Pink or Grey?

You were all such a big help to me as I was trying to decide on a toe nail polish to wear for the Wedding. I went with my first instinct....

I wore these cute sandals to the reception, I found them at Payless for $6!! I was super impressed, as was my hubby!! :)

Thank you for all your great help!!

I did a guest post over on Ashley's blog about going through infertility, you can find that here.
