Marriage and Infertility

My hubby and I have been married for almost 5 years. Never once did I think that we would have trouble trying to conceive. We really had it all planned out.

Get Married, Enjoy Life, Have a Baby...well let's rewind to Enjoy life, because that's were our plans stopped. We have not made it to the Have a Baby part. We have been trying for 3 1/2 years though, with no success. So how do you keep you marriage strong and healthy with such a big battle trying to overcome your life!? I ask myself that questions all the time, and I pray about that all the time. I need help from the Lord on that issue, I cannot handle our marriage and infertility on my own.

The first step for me was to realize that I need help, I need the Lord to give us both the help that we need. For years I was so focused on our infertility and how badly I wanted a baby, how badly I wanted to be a mother. I would see everyone else becoming a mother, and I would see so many little babies everywhere. It hurt me to the core each and every time. It was at the point where I was not being the wife that my hubby needed. It was all about me, all the time. I really did not see that until last year. So for 2 years that was our life. I get so emotional every time I think about it, because I hate what I have put my hubby through. He was so kind and caring, but I pushed him way too far for way too long.

We have since started to mend our hearts from all the heartache. The Lord has helped me in so many ways. All I did was pray. I saw things change right in front of my eyes, within days. I was so broken. I was so happy that I saw hope for happiness again. Not just daily grief over what I do not have, and there are constant reminders of that everywhere it just depends on how you look at them. I am so far from where I want to be, and I will never be perfect. I will always need the Lord's help.

When I am feeling so low and so sad. I try to remember other who are praying just to be healthy, or others who are praying just to have a chance at a pregnancy as well. I do not know if we will ever have a child of our own, but I hope and pray that the Lord will bless us in His time and in His way. As hard as infertility is, having the Lord on my side makes it so much easier.

Really, once we got our happiness back I felt like I have conquered the biggest battle of all.

I would love to hear about any of your Marriage and Infertility lessons.

Today I feel so blessed to have my Lord helping me through this journey of infertility.

Valentine's Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day Weekend! We did most of the celebrating on Saturday, I felt spoiled because I was able to spend both Saturday and Sunday with my Hubby!!

I love Valentine's Day so much, it's like that pick-me-up in the dead of winter! For me anyways, I realize that not all of you have tons of snow! I also love Valentine's Day because I love roses!!

My hubby surprised me with a dozen roses that were delivered to me at work! It was on Friday, so I was not expecting anything!

They did wonders for my tore up kitchen!! It was like a touch of love hit our whole house when I displayed those beautiful red roses, and they smell so good!

On Saturday I went with my hubby to his College Basketball game that he had to officiate, it was about a hour away. Of course he had to be there like 2 hours before the game started, so I went to Wal Mart while he prepped for the game.

I got there just in time to see him walk onto the court!

He is the guy in the middle.

After the game I went to the car to wait on him. So as I waited, I got out his Valentine's Day card as well as something sweet! We both love those chocolate cakes, and they are ten times better when they are shaped in a heart!

Of course, I had the radio tuned to the Love channel!! Gotta set the mood, right!

When hubby came out to the car and saw all of these things I had done, he got the biggest smile on his face. That is why I love Valentine's Day. That smile that I got from him put joy in my heart. It made me realize how special a smile is. His smile said to me "I feel special", and that is what I wanted him to feel. We did not buy each other a lot, but really it is the thought that counts, it is the thought that means the most to me.

We then went to eat at Red Lobster!! It was worth every minute of our 45 minute wait!!

I hope that all of you had a wonderful Valentine's Day with that special someone!

Today I feel blessed to have spent a wonderful Valentine's Weekend with my best friend, my Husband. I want to make it a point to make my Husband feel special throughout every day, not just on Valentine's Day.

What is love?

Love is patience.
Love is kindness.
Love is trust.
Love is friendship.
Love is fun.
Love is crazy.
Love is many more things!

True Love is never-ending.

Many times I think to myself "how on earth would I ever live without my husband?" "How would I get through this life?" I feel so blessed to have a Man I love, cherish, and have way too much fun with. It just seems like He has always been a part of me. When someone knows you so well, that can never be replaced. It makes me feel so sad when I hear of unhappy marriages. Love is able to conquer. I would hope. But the reality is, many times it does not. Part of Love is putting yourself last. That is the part that I have struggled with so much. I have come a long way with that, let me tell you. With my hubby right by my side. We have been married for 4 years, and it seems we have come so far since then. We feel more like a team than ever before. I think all those fights actually help! HA! You really get to know the person you are married to so deeply that you start truly feeling like ONE. How I love that feeling. I'm sure there are many obstacles to come our way, and many heartaches to face. But for now, I just want to be the best wife I can to a Man that has made me SO happy.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! Thinking of all my blogger friends!!

I would love to hear about your marriages, and what you do to keep them real and alive!!

Easter

So I got all my Easter Decorations out, and it seems I don't have very many. This is basically all I have in these pictures. I usually incorporate a lot of my Spring decorations with my Easter ones. Do you have lots of Easter Decorations?

I love Easter Sunday! Getting all dressed up, seeing LOTS of new people at church, celebrating our Lord and Saviour, and family time. It's always a lot more fun if I have a new outfit! We usually go to one of our parents house's after church for a celebration. It's always hard when both sides have something planned. My husband's side is very good with working around that, I am so thankful for that. We really haven't had that many issue's with that.

Do any of you have that problem?

How do you celebrate Easter?

I have been married for 3 1/2 years and I always love hearing about how other young marrieds are doing. I love being married. Yes, it has it's ups and downs but what doesn't. Most of all I love being a housewife, I love all the duties. If I could I would not work, and stay at home. I would love that! There are so many projects that I just cannot start due to my job, I guess I could, but I would be working on them for a long time, and I am very funny when it comes to unfinished projects. I love having all my housework done before the weekend, so if I'm not working we can just relax and do fun things! Not cleaning or Laundry, or for that matter, even cooking! I like to bake, but cooking is not so high up on my list. Take me to Applebee's and I'm a happy girl. I work some evenings, so I'm not always at home when my hubby comes home from work. Oh, how I would love to be. But I AM blessed with a great job, great co-workers, and excellent boss who just happens to be my uncle! So I have no cause for complaining. Though I pray, someday my dream may come true!
