Our Little Blessing at 10 Weeks!!

Monday, August 9
Our Little Blessing at 10 weeks!

How far along? 10 Weeks

Baby's size? Our baby has now completed the most critical portion of his/her development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his/her body rapidly grow and mature. He/she's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm.

Weight Gain? I have lost one pound.

Maternity clothes? Still the same here, I have been wearing a lot of dresses.

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? Sleep has been great. It has been my best friend. I sleep a lot. When I am not working I am sleeping.

Foods I am loving? I have been liking almost all foods, but again I need to be hungry for the food before I can eat it. If I eat something I am not hungry for I will only eat like 2 bites then my appetite is gone. That has been the biggest challenge for me this week, to find and keep foods in the house that I will like. I have been loving foods with flavor, and big meals.

Foods I am hating? Right now I cannot think of anything, but I know that there are a few.

Best moment this week? Feeling right below my belly button, and finding a very hard belly!!!

Movement? No movement yet. I cannot wait for the movement to start!

Symptoms? Very Tired. My nausea is gone. YAY!! I have came down with a cold and sore throat so I slept for like 15 hours, then when I got up and moved around I broke out in sweats and almost fainted. I thought it was probably because I did not eat for such a long time, and my nurse confirmed that later in the day. She said my blood sugar levels had probably dropped too much. So I do need to keep food in me.

Gender? I have no idea as of right now! We will be finding out though!

What I miss? NOTHING!!!

What I'm looking forward to? Getting more energy back, getting rid of this little bug I caught, and our next OB appointment.

Weekly Wisdom: Never watch a food show at night!!

Milestones: Feeling my tummy get hard. It brings a smile to me face and heart every time I put my hands on it!

Emotions: I have been able to cry at the smallest things this last week.

Today I feel so blessed for a hubby who has no complaints when I ask him to bring home dinner!! Such a blessing to me!!

Our Little Blessing at 9 Weeks!!

Monday, August 2
Our Little Blessing at 9 weeks!

How far along? 9 Weeks

Baby's size?
Our little baby is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. I have heard that once this happens the morning sickness starts to get better!! Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, the baby is poised for rapid weight gain.

Weight Gain? I have gained one pound. Which is suprising to me because I feel like I have gained a lot more!

Maternity clothes? My mother in law got me quite a bit of maternity clothes this week, I was so excited because a lot of them will fit me soon! I have been trying to wear dresses and skirts, but mostly all of my pants are to small. Just too uncomfortable.

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? I had one night last week that I barely slept. I was so tired, but I could not sleep good. It was horrible. But after that I was fine. I take a lot of naps, and usually go to bed early. I get up about 3-4 times per night to use the bathroom. I will be staying up late tonight!! Season Finale of "The Bachelorette!" I will not miss that!!

Foods I am loving? Everytime I am hungry, I know exactly what I am hungry for. I would say those are cravings. I have really liked cold foods, cinnamon raisin toast, scrambled eggs, chips, chicken noodle soup.

Foods I am hating? I still don't like chicken, but really if I am not hungry for certain foods I just cannot eat them. They vary from day to day.

Best moment this week? Starting to feel better. I have been able to keep my food down!!!

Movement? No movement yet. I cannot wait for the movement to start!

Symptoms? Very Tired. My stomach hurts mostly everytime I have a big meal. I really cannot eat a lot at a time. I have been able to keep all of my food down since a week ago. I still feel nauseaous a lot, but it all depends on what I eat. When I do not eat for a few hours, I am miserable. My stomach will hurt so badly and I will feel tired and weak. So I try to keep my stomach filled at least a little.

Gender? I have no idea as of right now! We will be finding out though!

What I miss? NOTHING!!!

What I'm looking forward to? Feeling better each day! Hopfully it will keep going that way! We are really looking forward to starting our 2nd trimester soon!! Next week is our 10 week mark!!

Weekly Wisdom: Be prepared to put a lot of things on hold until I start feeling a lot better! Like cleaning my house!! HA!

Milestones: I feel like my tummy popped this week!

Emotions: I have been thinking a lot about the day we can finally meet our little one. I then get so overwhelmed with thankfullness and joy! Praise God for our little blessing!!

Prepare yourself for this picture! I almost fainted when I saw it. I look huge!! My belly looks enormous!! Is this normal at 9 weeks!! HA! I think I need to take this picture earlier in the day, because I look exhausted!

Today I feel so blessed to be experiencing a pregnancy!

Our Little Blessing at 8 Weeks!

Monday, July 26
Our Little Blessing at 8 weeks!

How far along? 8 Weeks

Baby's size? Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet

Weight Gain? I have lost a pound from my pre pregnancy weight.

Maternity clothes? No more new maternity clothes. I have not started wearing any yet, but I am planning on getting a pair of maternity Capri's for work. My jeans are just a little too snug around the waist.

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? I sleep really good. I wake up occasionally to use the restroom, and I have woken up with nausea once. My days off are usually recover days, so I sleep for like 13 hours! Then I can even take a nap. On days I work, I come straight home and sleep!

Foods I am loving? Ravioli, oatmeal and chicken noodle soup are really the only meals that I do not throw up on. I am so hungry for food, but as soon as I eat a lot I will throw it up. It helps a little if I just eat a very small amount and frequently.

Foods I am hating? Nuts, fried foods, chicken!

Best moment this week? Still feeling pregnant!!

Movement? No movement yet. I cannot wait for the movement to start!

Symptoms? Nausea the whole day and very tired. I would say I am feeling the worst yet. I have started not being able to keep food down, which results in me feeling weak. The hardest part is having to go to work when I feel so bad.

Gender? I have no idea as of right now! We will be finding out though!

What I'm looking forward to? Hopefully feeling better soon.

Weekly Wisdom: Take one day at a time.

Milestones: Being 2 months pregnant!

Emotions:I have not really had any emotions, except for thinking of how bad I feel.

Here is our 8 week belly picture!

Any tips on how to help the nausea and vomiting would be greatly appreciated.
