Never Again!

General View of the Babies R Us where Ricky Martin shopped for his twins

Attention all ladies going through infertility!!!

Never, ever go to a Babies R Us unless you want to be miserable. I made the huge mistake of going there tonight with my Mom and Grandma to shop for my sisters baby shower. As soon as I walked in I saw tons of baby stuff. I mean not just here and there, it was EVERYWHERE.

So the first thing I saw was a pregnancy calendar, I wanted to buy it so bad. Not just to buy it, I wanted to use it! No matter how much I want to write in that calendar, I realized then and there that I no matter how much I wanted to experience pregnancy and motherhood, there was not one stinkin thing that I could do about it. I just stood there looking at all these baby things just thinking in my head, how am I ever going to survive this? I felt like being a child and just sitting on the floor right in the middle of baby land and sobbing my eyes out. But I put the book down, and pulled myself together so I could get out of there as soon as possible. I ended up walking through the whole store, looking at everything that you would ever need if you would get pregnant and have a baby. There were so many things that I wanted so bad. But again when I say I wanted to buy the items, I wanted to be able to fill those items. Fill them with a child. A miracle. A gift from God. An angel. My child.

So note to self: Stay away from Babies R Us!!

I Need your ideas

Baby clothes, diaper pyramid and assorted baby shower gifts, close-up

I, along with my Mom and sister, am hosting a baby shower for my new little nephew. I am in charge of baby shower games. I have done games before, but my mind seems to be totally blank when it comes to planning the games. If you have any games that you wouldn't mind sharing I would be very happy to hear from you! ANY ideas would help.

I'll make sure to post about how the shower went. It is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21. I am attempting a diaper cake, any tips on that would be greatly appreciated as well! I will let you know how it turns out!!

Thank You to all my blogger friends for encouraging me through my very low moments in life as we go through infertility. Your sweet comments mean more to me than you know. It is really a strange thing to share all my thoughts and fears with you even though we have never met. I think it is a blessing to have people like you to encourage me and lots of others that are struggling also.

What if...

...I never get pregnant?

...I never have a child of my own?

...I never experience giving birth to my child?

...my heart always aches when I hold a newborn?

...I will always be sad when I see a mother with her child?

...infertility wins its battle?

...I look back and regret my sad days?

...I ignore many opportunities the Lord gives me due to Infertility?

...I could encourage many women going through Infertility?!

...I will beat Infertility!!!

Mums, Scarecrows and Pumpkins

Today was a day of my dreams! We didn't need to work so we just worked around the house. It was so nice to get so many things done on our to-do list! I wanted to get all of my things done outside. I bought Mums, some pumpkins and got to work!

This is our back porch!

This is our driveway/entrance!

There is something about Fall that makes me want to buy Mums and put them everywhere. I love Mums!! This year I found some white pumpkins, and I love how it turned out with the purple and white mums. My hubbys not to crazy about white pumpkins, he is a fan of the orange!!
I've seen some of you have started your Fall spirit!! I would love to hear what you love most about Fall!!
