I am so sad that I have not posted an update since Week 19. Everything with the pregnancy is going so great. Life just got in the way of blogging these past two weeks.

Our Little Blessing at 22 weeks!

How far along? 22 Weeks

Baby's size and stats? She weighs almost a pound by now!

Gain? I have gained a total of 10 pounds! I can totally feel that I have!

Maternity clothes? I wear all maternity bottoms, and will proabably start to wear some of my maternity tops soon.

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? Sleep is great. I still get up to use the bathroom quite a bit, and I keep waking up on my back. I try to prop a pillow behind me so I don't roll over.

Foods I am loving? Foods with flavor and my newest craving...Chocolate!!!!

Foods I am hating? Plain chicken, fried foods.

Best moment this week? When a lady at church came up to me and asked me if I am going to have a baby. I almost screamed out "Yes" but I said it in a normal tone. :) I have been looking forward to the point in my pregnancy when people can tell I am pregnant. This is something that I would dream of when we were going through infertility. Some days I still cannot believe that I am pregnant.

Movement? I felt her move for the first time on October 23rd (almost 21 weeks)!!! I was sitting in my car just ready to get out, and I feel tons of little popping sensations. I just sat there and tears started streaming down my face. My precious little girl was kicking, she is real, I actually am pregnant!! She has been kicking mostly everyday since. I treasure each and every time I can feel her.

Symptoms? Eat, Eat and Eat. I am like a starved pig when it comes to food.

Gender? A beautiful baby GIRL!!

What I'm looking forward to? When I can see her moving from the outside of my stomach, and mostly the day when my hubby can feel her kicks too. He has tried, but I think they are not quite strong enough yet.

Milestones: Lots of kicking. I have been waiting for the kicks for so long!

Now for some pics! My hubby was not home so I had to take them myself! This is the first time that the pictures are not taken in the usual spot. I want most of them to be in the same spot, I think that it helps when you compare them later on. Hopefully next week they will be back at the original spot!! When I look at these I can see that I have been growing!!

This is my first bare belly shot!!

I hope you are all having a great start to November 1st!

Big Step Towards Her Arrival!!

We have been busy preparing for our little one. The first step to start on her room was to move the office out of her room. So we had to prepare another room into the office. We basically just had to paint, but it needed it so badly!! Here are some more pictures. I love the way it turned out. My hubby picked out the paint color, and he did a fabulous job!!

Before: Yeah, let's not even talk about the before! HA! This was a room that we had not done anything to since we moved in. I just had a whole bunch of anything in this room, mostly kids toys.

Can't wait to start on her room now! There is so much to do, and I am sure we will be working on it right up to her arrival! I cannot believe I am almost 20 weeks! WOW! Praise God!

Cupcakes with Pink Filling!!

On Tuesday after we found out that our little baby is a girl, I started to make my pink filled cupcakes for the big reveal to our families later that day. It worked out so perfectly. We made everyone divide into either the Boy team or the Girl team, then they took a bite at the same time! It was so much fun!

I wanted to show you how I made the cupcakes. I just used a Duncan Hines cake mix.

After they were cool, I cut a small piece out of the center of the cupcake.

Next I put the filling inside. I make my own icing, so I just made vanilla icing then added a few drops of pink food coloring! I lucked out because if it would have been a boy I don't know where I would have found the blue food coloring because Wal Mart did not have blue. Strange.

Then I took the piece that I had cut out of the cupcake and cut off its tip.

After that just put the top back on!

Then lastly frost the tops!
I was really happy with how they turned out, since this is the first time I made filled cupcakes! Just make sure you don't put too much icing on top and inside since it might turn out with too much icing all together.

Our Little Blessing at 19 Weeks!!

Monday, October 13
Our Little Blessing at 19 weeks!

How far along? 19 Weeks

Baby's size and stats?
She should be able to start hearing us this week!! I want to start reading to her!!

Gain? I have gained a total of 7 pounds, I weighed myself at the Dr and I have gained 6-7 pounds.

Maternity clothes? Still the same. Just maternity bottoms. Things are getting a lot tighter recently!! :)

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? Sleep is good, but I am still waking up on my back. My Dr. said to get some kind of support pillow and put it behind me so I don't roll onto my back. But then I have been having problems with my left side getting numb. It is so weird. I try to stay on my left side as much as I can because I read that is the best side for the baby.

Foods I am loving? Flavorful foods, mashed potatoes, noodles, chocolate milk and more chocolate milk!

Foods I am hating? Plain chicken, fried foods.

Best moment this week? Can you guess!! :) Seeing our precious baby on screen for almost a half hour and finding our that our baby's a GIRL!!!! She was sucking her thumb the whole time, and it brought me to tears every time. That was something I will never forget for as long as I live!!

Movement? I have not felt any movement, and now I know why!! I told my ultrasound tech that I have not been feeling any movement, and I thought it was strange because I could see our baby is very active. She was kicking and moving all around!! :) He said my placenta is in the front instead of in the back and she is kicking that so I do not feel anything. He said she will make up for lost time in a few months! I felt so relieved to hear that there is actually a reason for me not feeling anything.

Symptoms? I have been a lot more hungry more often. When I do not eat every hour or two I will feel nauseous.

Gender? A beautiful baby GIRL!!

What I'm looking forward to? I cannot wait to meet her!! I am very very impatient right now. I want to hold her, and look at her!! She is so precious. Her profile just melts my heart.

Milestones: Finding out our baby's gender!! And she is measuring exactly 19 weeks and 2 days!! Right on!!

Emotions: So happy that my face hurts. I have been smiling so much. I feel very blessed that our baby is healthy and that everything looked great. We were able to see every part of our baby, and the Lord has Blessed us immensely.

Our Little Blessing at 18 Weeks!!

Monday, October
Our Little Blessing at 18 weeks!

How far along? 18 Weeks

Baby's size?
Head to rump, our baby is about 5 1/2 inches long about the length of a bell pepper and he/she weighs almost 7 ounces. He/she's busy flexing his/her arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead.

Gain? I have gained a total of 7 pounds.

Maternity clothes? Still the same. Just maternity bottoms.

Stretch marks? None

Sleep? Sleep is good. I have been needing to use the restroom a lot more this week during the night.

Foods I am loving? Spaghetti, and flavorful foods!

Foods I am hating? I think I could start eating ravioli again (I had been hating that food). Fried foods still don't make me feel good.

Best moment this week? Feeling a baby inside me. Many times this past week I have very weird feelings/sensations in my belly!!

Movement? I have not felt any movement since last week, and I have been so anxious to feel the baby again!!!

Symptoms? I have been getting some cramping in my lower abdomen, it feels like stretching of my muscles. Is this normal? Last night right before my picture I was actually in a bit of pain from it.

Gender? This week I was thinking a Boy!

What I'm looking forward to? Movement that is very distinct! And of course finding out the gender!!!!!!!

Milestones: I was looking at my belly and it looks like a pregnant belly. I kinda has the point now!! If that makes sense to anybody! HA! I just don't know how else to explain it!

Emotions: Very, very weepy. If I get my feelings hurt, or feel sad I could just cry for hours! Did you start getting more emotional in the middle of your pregnancy?

I still sorta look like I am in pain in these pics.

I asked a lot of questions in this post and I would love to hear your feedback!! Let me know your stories!!

Gender Poll!

I was just looking at the gender poll on my sidebar and was so surprised that the votes are almost the same!! That makes me so super excited to find out our little Blessing's gender in less than 2 weeks!!
I would love to hear how you told your family the gender of your baby! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! As of now we are planning on using the filled cupcake as our way of telling them.
