Finally! Ovulation!

May's cycle on clomid is over, and we are starting June's. We had an unsuccessful month of Clomid, but in my eyes a very successful month. We have made a lot of headway in the last month. I am so sorry that I kept you out of the loop totally. I was/am so caught up with just enjoying life right now. The days and weeks are just flying by like crazy! I really had gone through so many emotions throughout last months cycle. I had a wonderful cycle. I ovulated!

On CD 15 I had an ultrasound done and what we found made us very happy and hopeful. 2 perfect follicles on my left side. I then felt the ovulation pains a few days later, and that is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. I have never felt that before, and I have never ovulated. So you can only imagine my excitement and at the very same time I seemed to be holding my breath till the end of the cycle.

A week later I had blood work confirm that I ovulated with a Progesterone level of 45.7. Yeah, a step up from 0.5 and 2.0! We were thrilled and were very much anticipating to POAS!!

We did POAS from CD 23 to CD 28. We (mostly my hubby) just could not wait until CD28. Each test we took was negative, and with each test it made it easier for me to deal with the "ultimate" negative in the end. I really feel like my hubby was my rock through all of this, he has truly exceeded all my expectations of what a hubby should be at a time like this.

So now, since I ovulated my Dr. says I will start with my cycle on my own. Which is unheard of to me!! Then we will do Clomid again this cycle. Our Dr. was so happy with the way the 200mg of Clomid reacted to me. So here's to 200MG of Clomid in June, along with many wonderful days of Summer!

Provera, Clomid and lots of Prayer!!

My Doctor called!!!

It was Thursday night, we were on the porch grilling out. The whole day I had been checking the phone anxiously awaiting a phone call from the Doctor. My wonderful hubby was in the house, and all of a sudden he brings my ringing phone out to me and it was the clinic's number!! We were both so excited. I was so happy that my hubby was in the house when my phone rang. I cannot believe I didn't have it right by me, but it worked out perfectly.

Here is the wrap up of my conversation with my Doctor:

He said my test results all came back great, and by great he means it's OK for me to start a cycle of Clomid!! My progesterone levels were only at 0.5, he said I was not ovulating at all with those levels. I knew that was so, in the back if my mind I just knew I was not ovulating. So that was not a shock to me. I try my best to face reality throughout our IF journey. It is so easy to get your hopes us every month to make you think that you are pregnant.

Here is what we will be doing next:

I am now starting to take Provera to get my cycle started, after I took a pregnancy test. It is very important to take a pregnancy test prior to starting Provera, mine came out negative so I started my Provera last night! Once my cycle starts I will be starting Clomid! I will be starting off our first month at 200MG of Clomid, exactly a year ago I was on my 2nd month of Clomid at 100MG. The highest I ever went was 150MG, which was May of 2009, and I had a slight rise in my progesterone with the 150MG. So I am REALLY curious what the 200MG will do for me!!! This would be my 4th round of Clomid in my lifetime.

You might be wondering why I am not doing an HSG. I talked to my Dr. about that when he called on Thursday. I was so glad that I did. He would recommend that we try the first month of 200MG of Clomid, and see how I react to that. If I get a good reaction to it, like my progesterone levels raising, then most likely my tubes are open and good. He said 90% of the time the HSG reveals good, open fallopian tubes. I was so happy that I asked him, and that he was honest with me about it. He is very direct and to the point, which I love!!

I will need to schedule blood work around CD 17-18 to check my progesterone levels to see if I ovulated!! I hope and pray that I will ovulate. It is so crazy to think that we are doing Clomid again, I am really excited to get started. I feel at peace about this. Which is the best feeling in the world.

Right now I only want to think about this month, this round of Clomid, not our future. I want to focus on today, and not wish my tomorrows away. I want to live in the moment, and be happy in the moment!! Too many times I have ruined today because of worry. God can take all my worries so that I do not have to deal with them, they weigh me down so much. So today my blessing is that God lifts my burdens from me, and takes my worries away. Too me that is a huge blessing!!

Has God lifted any of your burdens, or taken any of your worries away? I would love to hear about how God has helped you today!!

Appointment Rescheduled

Yesterday I was supposed to travel to Indiana for my follow up appointment with the Doctor I had seen in January, you can read about that here. I cancelled the appointment because of bad weather, the roads were still pretty bad and we would have had to leave at 4am. So we rescheduled for March 4th. I did have a chance to talk to the Doctor, I told him that I was still have my 15 day cycles. He told me that maybe my uterus muscles were not as strong as he thought, which meant if that is true my uterus could have shifted back to the old position. I did tell him about the small changes I have seen in my cycle, and then I asked him if it is even possible to get pregnant with a 15 day cycle. He told me most definitely. It should happen towards the middle of the cycle, and that all depends on if I am ovulating.

Today I was texting a friend who is also going through infertility, and she said that someone told her that if you start progesterone cream on CD 5 it makes so you don't ovulate. I have been starting my progesterone cream on CD 5!! I was told by the company to start it on CD 5. So I am not taking any chances, I am quiting my progesterone cream completely. I am almost at the end of my cycle, again. HA! 2 weeks goes by way too fast. So hopefully my body can regulate on it's own. I guess we will see soon enough. If I see changes for the worse, I will probably start taking it again, but not until I would call the company and explain the situation. Plus I am ready for a break from the cream, I just want to see what my body can do!!

My ticker reads 1 month 3weeks 5 days until our infertility consultation! I remember when I applied that ticker, and it was at 6 months! Time does fly by, even when it feels like its dragging!

Right now I am thinking:

"What will be happening in 1month 3weeks and 5days?"

Will I be pregnant?

Will I still not be pregnant?

Will I have regular cycles?

Will I be at peace?

Will some of my friends who are struggling as well, be pregnant?

Will we be told that I am still not ovulating?

Will I be told that we need lots of help?

Will I be told we will be pregnant in no time at all? If so, will I believe them?

Could this be the year that we finally receive our blessing?

Let's Raise Some Progesterone Levels!

This post is for all ladies going through infertility who want to raise, or who NEED to raise there progesterone levels to get pregnant.

After we started our break from professional help for our infertility, I started to use this natural progesterone cream that my Mom told me about. It is from Heartland Products, Inc. I've been using this cream for about 3 months or so now, and I have been so confused on how to use it and when to use it. I had seen a major difference in my hair growth (like around my upper lip, sides of my face, etc.) and also I've been able to keep off the little amount of weight that I had lost. Before the cream that would have been impossible. I was supposed to take the cream twice a day on CD 10-28, but I would always start bleeding/spotting around CD 15. Then I was not sure if I should count that as CD1 or keep counting till CD 28. So finally today I called the toll free helpline number on the brochure I had. The lady that I spoke with was wonderful. I explained to her my whole situation, and that I was using the cream to get pregnant and raise my progesterone levels. She said that it is normal to start bleeding in the middle of your cycle for the first couple of months using the cream, because your body is getting rid of all your extra estrogen. She told me that since I am trying to get pregnant that I am supposed to use the cream starting on CD 5 and stop using the cream on CD 26. If I start to bleed very heavy in the middle of my cycle then I should quit the cream and count that as CD 1. If the bleeding is minimal I should just keep using the cream until CD 26. I also asked her that if I would get pregnant should I still take the cream? She said that it is very important to keep taking the cream, only if you use the cream prior to pregnancy, until one week prior to your due date then quit the cream. I know lots of you going through infertility have issues with your progesterone levels. I am going to try this starting now, and I could not keep this to myself. I would recommend that you visit the company's website or call the company to get more information on the product before you start using it. They have a great brochure and a wonderful hotline. I am so excited to see if this will work since I am changing the days that I am taking the cream. I was thinking that this might also be able to help some of you!! I buy the cream at a local Health food store and it costs around $20 which last me about one month. It is very inexpensive and it has helped me already with a lot of the symptoms due to having low progesterone levels. I would love to hear from you by e-mail or comment form if you have the same or similar problem with your progesterone levels. I guess we will see soon enough if this will work for me! Maybe we won't have to go to our infertility consultation after all:)!!!!!

Progesterone Level Results

So work could not go any slower today! I was dying to get home and call my doctor's office about my results. So as Kevin sits on the counter, I dial the number. I got a very nice nurse to talk to and she gave me the results. My progesterone levels for this month are 2.0! I almost dropped the phone! You mean no more 0.7 levels!!! She did say that it is still very low, almost to low to call ovulatory. But she also said that maybe it was to early to get my levels at there peak. That sentence made me really happy! So on Monday I will go in and take a pregnancy test, and have our follow-up appointment. The follow-up appointment could be about the pregnancy or about the infertility. Talk about me being impatient, I cannot even imagine how Mimi feels about waiting for her first ultrasound. Thank you all for wishing, hoping and praying right along with us. No words can describe how amazing that is!

Today I am thankful for hope!

Progesterone Level Results

So today was the day that I found out the levels of my progesterone to see if the 2nd month of Clomid worked for us.

I called the Dr's office and she told me that the results were non-ovulatory. Basically my progesterone did not raise enough for me to have ovulated. My level was at 0.6 last month, and this month she said they are at 0.7.

I was very shocked when she told me the results, I was honestly believing that there was good news coming. I was expecting to be pregnant. I was expecting that my levels went up to at least 5. All of my expectations were wrong.

So now we will go in on Friday to follow-up with my Dr. to see what we will do next cycle.

Today was a rough day for me, I also had a mother daughter banquet tonight. They talked so much about being a mother, and it really hit me hard. I am trying to focus on my mother this year and all the wonderful mothers out there. But so far it's not working to well for me.

So I'm praying for a better week and a better cycle next time!

Today I am thankful for the big bowl of ice cream I am about to eat!!

Progesterone

Well I cannot believe that this day has come already, today is day 21 of my cycle, and for me that means getting my progesterone levels tested. So I'm off to my doctors office, I guess we will see if Clomid worked this month. And of course, I have my hopes up once again for a positive on pregnancy. Why do I do this to myself, I just cannot help it, and from what I have read from other blogs I think its completely normal. How can you not get your hopes up WE COULD FINALLY BE PREGNANT!!!

We probably will not find out the results of my progesterone until the first of the week, so if it goes up that means there is a great possibility of pregnancy. Last month my progesterone stayed almost the same, it went from 0.5 to 0.6, wow a whole 0.1!! So of course we are hoping for a lot higher than that. My progesterone levels are really the only thing my doctor thinks is holding us back from be able to conceive.

So wish us luck and keep us in your prayers as we come upon a big week!!

Today I feel blessed to have so many wonderful blogger friends who know just what to say to make me feel better!! Thank You!
