Savannah's Friends...and Momma's Other Kids

Yep...we have chickens!

My little Savannah is in love! Let me tell you they have grown like weeds! We kept them in the house/basement with a heat lamp until they had feathers. So now they are in the barn! It literally is Savannah's favorite part of her day when we go feed the chickens. Her mouth opens so wide, and she goes and gets her shoes!!

She says "Hi, Hi, Hi" when she see's them! The yellow one pecked her finger the other day, and I was dying laughing!! It wasn't funny for her, poor thing, but all she did was take off running, and she had the funniest look on her face!

Not just any chickens...laying hens!!!

I have wanted these for years! I cannot wait till they start laying eggs, Savannah and I will love gathering them!!

We are now a family of 11!!! :)

15 Months...UNREAL!

My little Beauty Queen turned 15 Months old today. She is our heart, our life, our precious little Blessing! Not a day goes by that I don't feel so eternally Blessed to have her.

Savannah is and has been our little Monkey since before she could walk, that in no way has changed...it has gotten a lot worse to say the least!! She keeps us on our toes, and I love to see her eyes light up when she is climbing. It is her hearts greatest joy!

Love you to the Moon and back my little Savannah!

Major Day of Fun

Yesterday reminded me just how much I love hot days! Especially with a Toddler! We had such a fun filled day, I am still recovering this morning! Savannah loved every single minute, there was one new thing after another for her yesterday!

First off, she was working on using her fork to eat, and I will say I am pretty impressed that she is showing so much interest in it! And yes, that is Mac n Cheese and Hot dogs she is eating! I always said that is one food I will avoid with my kids (mainly the hot dog), but with Summer upon us I thought I would try it, and she is in LOVE! She only had them twice so far, but I think I have turned into "that Mom"...as Justin Bieber says, "Never Say Never!"

My precious daughter, my heart is so full of love for you.

I love how you have been getting "Sun Kissed."

I love any picture that shows your adorable teeth! Teething is awful, but it sure brings cute smiles!

After Lunch I quickly swept the whole house, since I cleaned everything else during her nap! What an awesome feeling that is for me...a clean house!!!!!!!

Then all I said to Savannah was "Lets go on a walk" and she was waiting by the door! In this house we can't say it unless we mean it, or else we would have a heartbroken little girl.

We packed up the Stroller with the camera, sunglasses, shoes (just in case), chap stick, phone, wallet and sunscreen! We took the long way to town! This Momma needs to take the long way! We made it to the Market where we purchased a few items, but most importantly we purchased Savannah a baby cone!

Major part of her fun day!!

Once we got home she was a sticky little girl, but very happy I might add! So I changed her into her adorable swimsuit, and did we have fun!!!!

No need for a kiddie pool, we used her bathtub that we don't use anymore! It worked so great! It didn't matter how cold the water was, she was splashin' around like crazy! She would get in for a little bit, then she would run around the yard like a mad woman! I will say it was the cutest thing ever!

Love me some 80 degree days....I want more!!

Take note of the barn out back...exciting news to come soon. We have 8 new additions to our family!!!! Can anyone guess?

The only sad part of our day was that Daddy was on a business trip, so for Dinner we headed over to my parents! We enjoyed helping with Dinner, holding baby kittens, playing with Hummer (toy poodle), and lastly touring the deer farm...Savannah is a total animal lover!!!!

We ended our fun filled day by Skyping with Daddy, and with lots of hugs and kisses. I think Savannah was asleep 2 minutes after I laid her in her crib!

Oh Summer...please stay, you make this Momma very happy, so I cannot imagine what goes through my 14 month old daughters little mind...

just a guess...pure joy.

National Day of Prayer-61st Annual

Today, May 3rd 2012 is the 61st Annual Observance National Day of Prayer.

As I think of Prayer, I feel so weak. I feel like I always Pray when I am in need, but I want to Pray all the time, I want to Pray continually, even when things are going fine. There I go again, just thinking so selfishly, I as a Christian woman need to pray for others and not just for me and my family. National Day of Prayer reminds me of this weakness, and I feel so humbled by that.

So today I feel like so many people need our Prayers, for example I feel like all the US Leaders need major Prayer. They are leading our Country, and I seem to put them on the back burner of my Prayer List.

One thing that I am lifting up in Prayer today is couples who are struggling with Infertility. It is so near to my heart since I went through it for 4 years. I want to share something that just reached out and grabbed my heart from last nights Bible Study on Prayer.

He was talking about Persistent Prayer, and he mentioned that when we are going through a trial, and we want an answer now, we should just keep Praying persistently. Then he said that 40 years to God is like the snap of a finger, but to us it is 40 long years. That made me think back to the years that I thought God had forgot about me and my desire to be a Momma. I immediately felt so selfish, and so undeserving. I struggled with Infertility for 4 short years, not 12 years or 8 years. In that moment my heart was so broken for all you couples out there that have been waiting far longer than I ever had too. I want to tell you that you are going to be on my Prayer List today, and in the future. Also, I know that you might want to stop praying, but I urge you to keep Praying persistently for you own little miracle baby...God might answer yes, no or wait, I believe that God rewards a faithful servant of Prayer.

Mark 14: 38- Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

1 Thessalonians 5:17- Pray without ceasing.

Below is evidence that God hears our Prayers, and wants happiness for us. Even when you feel doubt that God cares, He is still with us.

Philippians 4:6- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

lil' water diva

We went swimming for the first time this year (indoor heated pool, yes please!), and Savannah liked the pool, but she LOVED the sprinklers! She would stick her toy in the streaming water, and then she would laugh and smile so big! It was the cutest!

Isn't her little swimsuit just the cutest!

I took my two nieces to the pool, then they stayed the night at our house, it was a Birthday gift for them! Savannah just adores her cousins! They are 11 and 8, so you can imagine how much fun they have with Savannah, and they are old enough to be responsible with her. They often times feed her for me, and oh they play so nicely with her!!

I can say for sure, that we will be visiting the pool quit a bit this year, since Savannah screamed bloody murder when I picked her up to leave!!! The picture below is taken BEFORE I broke her heart by leaving the pool.

Savannah Is 14 Months Old-April 18

My little one is 14 Months old, I have so many emotions. I feel so very Blessed, I feel such a GREAT love for her! There are always days that I worry about her, and all the "BAD" things that could happen to her, and that is my Momma's instinct. I always try to protect her in any way that I can. I know her every detail like the back of my hand. She is mine to protect, love, and teach. I feel so Thankful to be chosen to be her Mother.

Savannah is walking/running now. She began to show a lot of interest in walking right around the first of March. She then came down with a cough, which slowed down her walking progress. By the end of March she was walking great! Now she runs from me...UH-OH!!!

Another BIG change has happened this last month. We now just lay her in her crib with her bottle, for naps and for bedtime. This just happened one day, she was not wanting to nap while I was rocking her, so I just laid her in the crib with her bottle. She fussed just a bit as I walked out, but almost immediately she settled down, and within 5 minutes she was asleep. I thought this will be just a one time thing, but we kept doing it for naps which was a success. Then we did it for Bedtime, which was also a success!!! Talk about freedom for me! I do go in a retrieve her bottle from the crib after she's asleep. I love this change.

This stage is my favorite so far. I know that the temper tantrums are starting, and the picky eating plus the teething is upon us, but I still love this stage the most. She sleeps through the night, no nursing, she can start to communicate, she is walking, she is independent, she roams the house all day just playing, she is starting to self feed, she is growing up and I love it!!!!! I liked all the stages she went through, but I LOVE the great routine we have right now!!

She sleeps 7-7 unless its a bad night of teething.

She naps 11:30-1:30 or 2:00.

She has 2 bottles a day.

She has 2 snacks a day.

She is teething badly. She now has 8 teeth, and is working on Stage 5 which are her one year molars. She is an awful teether, she gets low grade temps a lot, and she shakes and screams when the pain is bad. I recently purchased Hylands Teething Tablet, and they help a lot!! She has a huge bump where one of her molars are trying to cut through, it is brutal. About 3 weeks ago she was cutting three teeth at once, can you say awful!!!!! She was a late teether, but all of a sudden they all wanted to come in! I would love to hear from other Mom's who had hard teethers!!

She is into EVERYTHING...enough said!

She is such a Daddy's girl, she calls for Daddy non stop during the day!

She adores being on the Mower with Daddy!

She is just like her Momma, she is already lovin' the big hair!!

She loves her room.

She loves her babies!!

She gives the sweetest kisses every, I wanna tear up each time she gives me one. She also blows kissed which is Darling!! Every time I tell Hubby I love him on the phone, she will blow a kiss!!!

Thank you Lord for the Blessing you gave me when you gave me Savannah Lane! Help me be a Godly, patient, and loving Mother each and every day!!
