Can't Decide!

I have been going back and forth with what color nail polish to wear on my toes for the upcoming Wedding that I am in. I love lots of options for my toes! They always need to be painted, so I am super excited to find a great color for this special day! I would love some guidance from all of you!

Pewter is the color of the dress that I will be wearing, and my shoes will probably be silver.

pewter:

The first color is a bright pink. This was my first instinct choice. I love the brightness and fun it brings!

The next option is this dark grey/black. I think this color would bring a little more elegance.

They are both such great colors, so can you see that this is a hard decision!! I would appreciate any thoughts and help for me to decide!! I will let you know what I decide on!!

Clomid Update

So I have taken my last Clomid pill for this cycle. I had been feeling great, no major side affects. I had just left a comment to a lovely blogger who is also taking Clomid, and she is having horrible side affects. I told her I lucked out and have been feeling great. No kidding, not even a day later the side affects started...

MAJOR hot flashes...

A few bad headaches....

Nightmares....

I have been so miserable. Never in my life have I had hot flashes this bad. I will break out in sweat. They wake me up from my sleep, along with horrible nightmares. I dream that I will never be a mom, and I'll wake up feeling like a total failure and very emotional. I have been getting fewer hot flashes now, but they are still here!

I will have an update on how the Clomid is reacting to me this cycle soon. I have an upcoming appointment that will tell me a lot! We are really excited about it.

We have my brother in laws Wedding coming up in 2weeks! I cannot believe that it's almost here. I have been busy getting ready for the wedding. I know that I have not been blogging a lot lately, and I am behind on my blog reading as well. I hope I will get back into a regular blogging routine soon. My days just fly right by, and I love it that way! It makes my cycle go by so much quicker!! As we all know, it is so hard to wait to see if "this cycle" leads into pregnancy!!

We had such a great time, I think my hubby had just as much fun as the little one!! He won a lot of tickets so we could get something for the little guy!

We had a great time!

Ovulation Predictor Test!?

I got asked about if I use or would recommend Ovulation Predictor Tests. For the 3 1/2 years that we have been TTC, I have used a Ovulation test twice, and they were both negative. I have heard that if your hormones are out of whack, then the Ovulation tests will probably not be accurate.

I did take an Ovulation test this last cycle, right around the exact time I ovulated. It was negative. I had blood work that confirmed I very clearly ovulated.

My advice to you about the Ovulation tests would be to not waste your money on them. Of course, if it is recommended by your Dr. you should probably listen to him!! :) My Dr. did not say anything about the tests to me, and I have never asked him about what he thinks of them. I do want to bring that up next time we see him.

For me seeing a negative pregnancy test is enough, so it's not worth it to me to see a negative Ovulation test too!!

I would love to hear your opinions on Ovulation test!

FORGOT ABOUT THE SUGAR!

This is a major update to my last post Fresh Strawberries. I forgot the main ingredient! SUGAR! You add the sugar once you have all the strawberries crushed, I just started with one cup and kept taste testing until it was sweet enough! I used about 4 cups of sugar for the 11 quarts of Strawberries that I bought.

I got a great question from a sweet girl, asking if you need to cook the strawberries. Since I freeze all my strawberries, there is no need to cook them. As soon as you have them in the jars, just put them in the freezer. Once you get them out to thaw, they are so delicious! When they are starting to thaw they get kinda slushy and I love to eat them at that point. Once they are completely thawed out they taste just like they did the day I put them in the jars!

I am so sorry I left this part out!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Fresh Strawberries

I don't know about you, but there is nothing better than fresh strawberries!
So today I canned 11 quarts of Strawberries. I was surprised how easy it actually was, after getting directions from my mom. It was so easy that I want to share the process with all of you. This is basically all you need:
First I took off all the stems (which is what took the longest), then I washed all the strawberries

Then I chopped all the strawberries up in my Tupperware Chopper. It was so super easy with that thing.

The last step was to fill my jars! Now they are in my freezer!!

So anyone who loves fresh Strawberries this is the way to go. When you get them out of the freezer in the middle of winter they taste so fresh! Plus they go great over ice cream with a brownie or cake!! YUM!!

Finally! Ovulation!

May's cycle on clomid is over, and we are starting June's. We had an unsuccessful month of Clomid, but in my eyes a very successful month. We have made a lot of headway in the last month. I am so sorry that I kept you out of the loop totally. I was/am so caught up with just enjoying life right now. The days and weeks are just flying by like crazy! I really had gone through so many emotions throughout last months cycle. I had a wonderful cycle. I ovulated!

On CD 15 I had an ultrasound done and what we found made us very happy and hopeful. 2 perfect follicles on my left side. I then felt the ovulation pains a few days later, and that is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. I have never felt that before, and I have never ovulated. So you can only imagine my excitement and at the very same time I seemed to be holding my breath till the end of the cycle.

A week later I had blood work confirm that I ovulated with a Progesterone level of 45.7. Yeah, a step up from 0.5 and 2.0! We were thrilled and were very much anticipating to POAS!!

We did POAS from CD 23 to CD 28. We (mostly my hubby) just could not wait until CD28. Each test we took was negative, and with each test it made it easier for me to deal with the "ultimate" negative in the end. I really feel like my hubby was my rock through all of this, he has truly exceeded all my expectations of what a hubby should be at a time like this.

So now, since I ovulated my Dr. says I will start with my cycle on my own. Which is unheard of to me!! Then we will do Clomid again this cycle. Our Dr. was so happy with the way the 200mg of Clomid reacted to me. So here's to 200MG of Clomid in June, along with many wonderful days of Summer!
